NFL.com was inaccurate in reporting that Carl was the only player to run inside. All the players ran inside on the same surface. His fastest verifiyed time was a 4.26.
I can't find any evidence of Chris Spann playing for Nebraska-Omaha. He's not on their website and he's not in their media guide. Maybe he really exists, but it doesn't look like he played for them last year. I'm curious about the guy, though, if his measurables are real.
yeah, I get basically all of these results from NFL.com, so if something is wrong, I wouldn't really know. But I looked up Chris Spann also, and could not find anything at all on him either. But, Gil Brandt posted his workout numbers under Nebraska-Omaha, and said he used to play basketball there. The numbers are pretty impressive, though, and he could get a shot somewhere.

Ah...so I spent way too much time on Google looking for information about Chris DeSpain, and it turns out that he only played basketball for Nebraska-Omaha, and the 2005-06 season was his final one. I'm not going to consider him a draftable player, but he might get brought in to work out with an NFL team during camp.
Yeah, NFL teams are always looking for athletic ex-basketball players, some work out (Antonio Gates obviously did, and Wesley Duke showed some potential), but most don't. (Chevon Troutman, Jai Lewis, Ed Nelson, Onye Ibekwe). He's very big and obviously fairly athletic, so he should get a camp invite, but there's really no way to tell if he can adjust well going from a D2 basketball team to the NFL.
